Missing $

Two women were selling oranges in the Market –
one at 3 for a $ and the other at 2 for a $.

One day both of them  returned home when each had 30 oranges unsold.

They put together the two lots of oranges  and handing them over to a friend
asked her to sell them at 5 for $2.

According to their calculations,3 for a $ and 2 for a $ are exactly the same as 5 for 2 $.

Now they were expecting to get $25  for the oranges, as they would have got,
if sold separately.

But much to their surprise they got only $24 for the entire lot.

Now where did the one dollar go?

Can you explain?
